Clinical Consultation to licensed psychotherapists

Individual meditation consultation with experienced meditators

KORU Meditation groups

Koru Mindfulness is an evidence-based curriculum specifically designed for teaching mindfulness, meditation, and stress management. The course was originally developed for college students and young adults but it is helpful for any person who feels “too busy” to learn meditation or who wants to learn the basic practical skills of meditation as well as integrate mindfulness into their daily life in concrete ways. It is a four-session course. Each class is 75 minutes. Research suggests in order for students to develop the necessary skills, they must attend all four of the mandatory classes.

The expectations of the course include:

  • Read: Rodgers, Holly B. (2016). The Mindful Twenty-Something. New Harbinger Publications.

  • Daily 10-minute guided meditations using the Koru app.

  • Write brief reflections on these meditations which are emailed to the teacher who can then privately and promptly respond to students’ comments and questions.

  • A daily mindfulness activity.

  • A daily gratitude practice.
